This upgrade will allow you to use 7.4v on your Omicron, and also turn the Omicron into a mini unit. This is not a standalone unit; it requires the bottom cap of the original V2 to operate in mini mode.
Black Omicron HVD will only work with the Black Omicron v2

If I'm running the shorty with a single 3.7v how long will it last on a full charge?

Not sure if you would need a charger given the v1.0 may have been USB charged I dunno, but basically it would be a mini-unit for you since the v2.0 Omicron has different long tube than v1.0, hence I think you can't use the 7.4 option with the v1.0. I think the HVD upgrade for 7.4 usage needs the v2.0 long tube to use the two small 300mah blue lipo batteries. So basically I think given you have the v1.0, unless they have some sort of upgrade option, that you'll need the "non-USB" charger (if the HVD upgrade doesn't include charger and you'll have just mini 3.7?
I think HVD stands for High Voltage Device?

I believe the 5ohm would be closest relation to the omicron standard(2.4 ohm to 3.7v) But for the 7.4v. I will be purchasing the 4ohm as I expect that to be similar to my previous 1.5ohm to 3.7v combo(which totally rips fat clouds)..but better..much better muaha

I am excited about having a smaller mini omicron as well as trying out other carts. What cart should someone use for the 7.4?

As I believe omicron has the edge in the competion for most functional portable vaporizer, twice the voltage output ought to set a new tone for this era... :)
